The actor plays Terry Hoitz, who joins the New York police force along with Will Ferrell’s character Allen Gamble in new movie The Other Guys. Eva stars as Allen’s beautiful wife Sheila, and throughout the film much is made of their mismatched appearances.

Will interjected: “You were looking at a different part.”
Quickly realising he could be in for trouble if his wife Rhea heard Will’s joke, Mark deadpanned: “Terry was. Mark was not. Mark was thinking about family, church and golf. Terry was being paid to look.”
Mark was thrilled to get the opportunity to team up with Will as he has been a fan for so long. Will is renowned for his improvisation skills, something Mark was keen to learn from.
“Tell me what my position is and I’m right there for you. You want me to kill? You want me to just lay back? Whatever you want me to do,” he told ET Online. “I wanted to do a comedy for long time. To have these guys invite me in and give me an opportunity to be a part of their movie was a blessing.”
Eva was similarly in awe of Will. She was desperate to win the role in the movie, and couldn’t believe it when she managed to bag the part. She was determined to make the guys on set laugh, but thinks she went a bit far at some point.
“I brushed up on my improv-skills because I knew I was going in with the master. I was like, it’s sink or swim time and I’m not going to sink,” she explained. “Sometimes I think I overdid it, I almost stabbed Will with a knife in one scene, that was improvised.”
