Johnny Blaze is set for one more ride through the gates of Hell when Nicolas Cage reprises his role as the flaming skulled vigilante in "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" for directors Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor — just don't expect his childhood sweetheart Roxanne to be riding shotgun.

Superhero Hype recently spoke with "Ghost Rider" actress Eva Mendes during a press junket for the upcoming comedy "The Other Guys." When asked if she would be participating in the upcoming relaunch of the "Ghost Rider" franchise, Mendes offered a simple: "No, unfortunately."

While Mendes' lack of involvement is certainly disappointing news for fans of her work on the first film, it's hardly surprising. In 2008, MTV News put the same question to Mendes about the possibility of a "Ghost Rider" sequel, and she was similarly unenthusiastic.
