Cocio’s chocolate milk is a staple of many Danish lunchboxes but the company has now hired Hollywood starlet Eva Mendes to help spread its coverage in the rest of the Scandinavian market.

Advertising agency Co+Høgh has come on board to produce the marketing campaign which is an integral part of Cocio’s five year business plan to secure a greater market share in Norway and Sweden.

‘We got Eva Mendes for a good price, which made it possible for Cocio to pay her and if I’m not mistaken, it’s the first time such a large star has fronted a Danish brand’s campaign in Scandinavia,’ said the agency’s Gaute Høgh.

The two ads featuring Mendes were shot by Danish photographer Marc Høm and play up the actress’s sex symbol status as she impersonates a Cocio delivery woman, albeit in a very tight, revealing uniform.

‘We think Cocio has a really good chance to develop itself in the Danish market and a number of other close markets in northern Europe, where the first step will be Sweden and Norway,’ said Cocio’s marketing director Michael Broch Hansen.
